FGCS was born from our own frustrating experiences trying to find reliable service providers close to home when we moved to a new area for the first time.
From hairdressers to electricians, taxis to vets, we needed to find essential services for the first time. And the recommendation of just one friend or acquaintance was sometimes misleading. We soon found we weren’t alone in wishing there was somewhere we could find trustworthy recommendations of people we wanted to do business with – whether they were tradespeople or service professionals working in our homes, or shops and service providers on the local high street or online.
How it works…
FGCS brings together many recommendations and sets out customer reviews against the criteria that matter to you, so you can see ratings and compare different businesses, based on intelligent information provided by people like you who’ve recently used the businesses we include.
Our ratings are up to date, because they’re based on reviews added in the last six months, and we exclude businesses if their ratings drop below the three star high standard we expect. (You can view older reviews too, but they don’t count towards the rating figures.)
You can make a difference
The best compliment you can pay a business that does great work for you is to recommend them, so they win new customers and become more successful than ever. So tell us about companies who have given you great service. We’ll add your reviews and invite them to join if they’re not already members. We’ll also recognise service excellence and consistency over long periods with our annual FGCS awards.
